As baseball fans struggle to contain the excitement of Opening Day arriving, Houston Astros fans feel the most excited because of the perks of last season. But there are a few consequences to this excitement as everyone will find out.  Here are three things to expect for Opening Day 2018, take a look.

Houston Astros fans — If there are three big national days that any single individual fan should be excited for, they should be Christmas, Fourth of July, and the Opening Day of the new baseball season. While there are other days for y’all to be excited for, we can all agree on this. We’re excited for Opening Day because it allows us to see our favorite baseball team play on into the Fourth of July and all the way until Christmas for the winner of the World Series.

The pitchers and catchers will report for Spring Training duty today; and, in a short while, the Houston Astros will open up the season on the road against the Texas Rangers March 29 – April 1 before coming back home to take on the Baltimore Orioles April 2.

So why am I writing this one month before Opening Day? It’s simple really.

BASEBALL SEASON IS HERE!

Everyone is reporting to Spring Training right now or next week so that the teams can gear up for the season. For Houston Astros fans, we’ve waited 56 years to be excited. This year, we are the defending champions So much so, they might as well honor us for an Opening Day ceremony.

I wholeheartedly agree with Cespedes here. Have all teams head to Houston to be honored and save the defending champions for last because they’re the host team.

Alright! Let’s get going!

But while we have a very legitimate reason to be excited, there are a few things we need to be wary of for this season. It’s almost like for every positive comes a negative. For this reason, I’ve come up with three Opening Day cons that we need to be wary of.  Two of these will be painful while the third will be one final tribute.  Seriously, do you guys like three or do you want more? Please comment below.

So now, let’s get rid of the painful first.
