With the Houston Texans already in off season mode by acquiring a new general manager, it’s only the beginning of a new era where certain things have to take place to put Houston in position to win the Super Bowl.  Here’s my three-point plan to a successful off season.  Take a look.

It’s off season Houston Texans fans. So that means we have a lot of questions that need to be answered. Fortunately, I got good news and I got bad news.

The good news is we hired a new GM as Rick Smith appears to be taking time off to care for his wife, who is battling breast cancer. We continue to pray that she gets cured because no one wants to see cancer win. But in the meantime, our new general manager is Brian Gaine.

The bad news is we won’t have any draft picks in the first two rounds of this year’s draft. You can blame the Chicago Bears, the Kansas City Chiefs, and Smith for allowing Deshaun Watson to join the Texans. The Bears and Chiefs should be blamed for passing up on Watson while Smith’s only mistake was trading up those draft picks to get him.

Yes, that was a good off season move and the future is bright. But there are still some things we need to address. How do we answer the question of winning a Super Bowl in the next few years with a lack of draft picks this off season?
