Go Back to the Future

Who remembers this cover?

I think we can all agree that the writer who wrote the story is either a bonafide genius or about to be the biggest Houston hero not associated with Houston.

So it’s expected to be our year this year. However, what people might not remember was that

More from House of Houston

Sports Illustrated actually picked the Dodgers to win the World Series this year in their MLB Preview. Something has to give.

But superstitions aside, I think the reason the writer wrote the article didn’t intend to predict the Astros would win it all. He basically said the Astros appear to be heading on the right track and they could win the World Series championship as early as 2017. Sure it would be nice to see it happen live. But prophecies are difficult to obtain. We have to #EarnIt. So regardless, we should expect this team to strive for championships and hope for one or two, if not three.

If we do win in 2018 or 2019, we will be very happy. But like I said in my previous article, it wouldn’t be as special if we win it this year. We have a story that seems to be capturing everyone’s imagination right now.

I did say that if I had my World Series prediction, it would be Astros in five. But realistically, I think we should expect a six or seven-game series. So it’s going to be a tight battle either way.

No matter what happens, we should be proud. We should always feel like this season was special. I think this will be a story everyone will remember for a long time at least.

With that being said,
