HOUSTON, TX – APRIL 04: Houston Astros Manager A.J. Hinch /

Despite the Houston Astros’ giant lead in the AL West Division, there is trouble as of right now.

It’s not uncommon for teams to struggle in August. But with the Houston Astros dealing with health issues and struggles, there comes a point where something needs to happen to fire up this team.

It hasn’t been the best stretch of the season for the Houston Astros. Of course, we shouldn’t be surprised. In a 162-game season, we were going to have struggles and have stretches like this. It’s not uncommon for us to have a bad stretch. But to be fair and honest, we do need to come to grips with what’s happening.

The All-Star Break and Jeff Bagwell’s induction ceremony appear to be the biggest highs for the team. Since Bagwell was inducted, things haven’t gone smoothly. Whether you can say there’s distrust in the management after a lackluster deal. Or whether you can assume the injuries are affecting us. One thing is for sure, this team’s struggles is leading us in a slump.

What Do We Do?

Now listen, I’m not too pleased with the performance as of late. If we want to get to the World Series, we need to play better. But in order for us to do that, we need to get healthier. We already have health issues on this team. Sure, we have our three pitching pros in Dallas Keuchel, Lance McCullers Jr., and Collin McHugh. But they still have rust issues trying to get back to form.

Our lead for the best American League record is dwindling. But to be fair, we shouldn’t worry. We got fans that are so concerned about the failure of this team that some of them are off the train. Not only are fans starting to get off. But some of our media have questioned this team. It’s not right! It’s not fair to quit at this point. Did anyone believe we would go 162-0? Were we buying the dominance of our team?

So as of this moment, I’ve decided enough is enough. I cannot see a better way to approach this problem and finding a solution better than talking about it. Let’s talk about the struggles and fears right now. If AJ Hinch or Jeff Luhnow isn’t willing to do that soon, then we’re going to do it for him.

Shut the door and kick every outsider to the halls. We’re having a team meeting right now.
