Houston Texans: Five Reasons why Deshaun Watson could be great or a bust
Bill O’Brien: Not the world’s greatest Pokemon Trainer
If Bill O’Brien were a Pokemon trainer, he would have the following Pokemon.
- Psyduck
- Haunter
- Charmeleon
- Metapod
- Snorlax (although I like Snorlax and he can cause chaos when awake)
- Wheezy
- Slowpoke
All of the Pokemon do have skills and abilities to win matches. But they aren’t the ideal Pokemon to use like Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charizard, and Onyx in battles with.
Basically, O’Brien has proven to not be the best quarterback helper. I mean, when you have at least eight quarterbacks in the last few seasons, it’s ridiculous. Sure making the playoffs twice is an achievement with the numbers. But having that many quarterbacks can be problematic.
We’ve seen the quarterbacks range from injury-prone to oversleeping complainers to rebellious interception passers.
Part of the problem goes to the quarterbacks for not playing well at critical times. But a big portion goes to coach O’Brien. I don’t want to say that he’s the worse coach to play for because he has done well in tough scenarios. But he is on the hot seat this season. If he can’t manage his quarterbacks properly and Houston goes 9-7 again or worse, he’s gone for sure.
It’s vital for O’Brien and Watson to work together. So far, things have gone smoothly. But the season is a long grinding one and tension can happen anywhere. We know what happened last season with O’Brien and Osweiler. What we don’t want is for someone with a good backstory like Watson to have trouble with his coach.
