Houston Texans: The 2011 season outcome had Matt Schaub been healthy
AFC Divisional Game – Houston Texans @ Baltimore Ravens
Actual score: Baltimore 20, Houston 13
Simulated score: Houston 16, Baltimore 6
In a tight, defensive battle, Houston grinds out a win and pulls an upset over the Ravens. The Texans use the same formula against the Ravens by giving Arian Foster the ball. Foster ran for 93 yards on 18 carries though with no score. Schaub only threw 15-21 for 194 yards. But his one touchdown pass to Derrick Mason proves to be the difference along with three Neil Rackers kicks.
Cushing led the team with seven tackles while DeMeco Ryans and Antonio Smith sacked Joe Flacco.
Scoring
2nd Quarter
HOU – 2:05 FG Neil Rackers 46 yds (3-0 HOU)
BAL – 0:32 FG Billy Cundiff 47 yds (3-3)
3rd Quarter
HOU – 10:39 FG Neil Rackers 27 yds (6-3 HOU)
4th Quarter
BAL – 13:32 FG Billy Cundiff 27 yds (6-6)
HOU – 11:18 TD Derrick Mason 14 yd pass from Schaub (13-6 HOU)
HOU – 2:13 FG Neil Rackers 49 yds (16-6 HOU)
So based on this experiment so far, Schaub takes the Texans to the AFC Championship Game at least. Houston now travels to Foxborough to take on New England. Will the Texans knock off Tom Brady and the Patriots and reach the Super Bowl?
