Where do we stand with the Rockets?

So Chris Paul is on board with the Rockets because he feels his best chance is with a championship. It sounds like a plan, but there’s a catch. Can he and James Harden co-exist on the court given the success we had last season offensively?

Some people say yes while others say no. But do Houston Sports fans know? We can only speculate the chemistry between the two on the court when the season comes. That just leaves another question. Will Carmelo Anthony join us? Do I like the move of Anthony possibly joining the team? I like it because he has experience and talent. But I don’t like it because he’s being asked one year too late to play for Houston.

It’s been 22 years since the Rockets were champions and they share a common goal with everyone else. They want to beat the Golden State Warriors. With this Rockets team, they have at least a puncher’s chance. But Golden State is still too strong. Perhaps if Houston waits another year or so, then they’ll beat the Warriors and go to the NBA Finals to win. That seems like a logical plan.

So what if the team being sold could be a distraction? It’s what happens on the court that decides fate. You score more than the opposition and you win. It’s a simple game with a few complex mazes to solve.

If we beat the Warriors, do we run into King James or not? Can we beat the best of the East? Isn’t it fun to speculate the NBA Finals?
