Should We Blame Naysayers?

I wouldn’t blame them because all the Houston Sports fans would either say that we’re delusional or fooling ourselves.

Yes, I have struggled with feelings of fooling myself.  Okay, I have thought about what other fans think of me and the city. Should I care about that? No! But is it tough to ignore? Most definitely.

Right now, I think the dream world for sports fans would look something like this.

  1. The Los Angeles Dodgers will beat the Cleveland Indians in the World Series. (Magic Johnson seems to agree.)
  2. The Golden State Warriors will repeat as NBA Champions.
  3. The New England Patriots will go 19-0 next season.

ESPN seems to think so. Maybe Skip Bayless, Stephen A. Smith, and Colin Cowherd agree. I think Rachel Nichols or Michelle Beadle agree as well that if these three things happen, all is right in the world.

As always, Houston Sports fans will have their fair share of doubters. But come on, have we been through that before?
