Houston Rockets: A dream NBA Finals scenario that makes sense
#3 The Stars
Last year’s NBA season saw Harden put on one of the best offensive seasons in history. When Mike D’Antoni asked him to make the risky move and play point guard, Harden accepted and the Rockets star surged last season. So the Rockets already have a superstar. Add CP3 and possibly Anthony (pray that neither Cleveland nor Portland gets him and the Knicks be cooperative), we’re talking about an NBA Finals with one team with a Big 3.
But wait! The Celtics also have a star. Isaiah Thomas (no relation to the NBA Hall of Famer), emerged as a star. Last season, he inspired the world with a playoff run that included memorable performances following the death of his sister in a car accident. Boston did go further than the Rockets as they ended up falling to the Cavaliers. Still, with Thomas and Gordon Hayward now a member of the green machine, the Celtics have some stars of their own.
What makes this NBA Finals special is that fans would get to see stars not named James, Kevin Durant, Irving or Steph Curry. They’ll see stars representing teams not named Cleveland or Golden State. These teams have not been as beloved by the NBA Universe other than their fans. But if Golden State or Cleveland fails and the two sides of Boston and Houston emerge from their conferences, fans will have to choose sides.
It will either be the offensive firepower from Clutch City that has run the routes of scoring explosions in the past seasons. Or it will be the luck of the Irish from Bean Town that has proven they can take the Eastern Conference throne. Not an easy choice for fans if you ask me.

Where Do We Stand?
Of course, that’s my way of thinking for the ideal NBA Finals. But at the end of the day, it’s the players that decide the season for themselves. Perhaps the other teams would like to prevent my dream finals and get to them as well.
