As we all get prepared for an exciting, thrilling second half of the season, it’s only fair that we relive the top ten most exciting wins of the first half for the Houston Astros. Coming up with the list isn’t as easy as we expect. But just remembering them is more fun.

Sitting in the car today and driving around, I was thinking about how the Houston Astros got to this position. 60 wins to 29 losses is good for the best record in the American League. How did we ever become so good? Usually, we might be as high as 50 wins or 40 at best by this point.

Well, there are many different reasons for this, but that’s not the point here. The point is, we are in the midst of something exciting that we haven’t experienced in over a decade. Now it’s time to relive at least ten of the wins from the first half.

I have to admit coming up with the list is very difficult because there are some victories that can easily be seen on everyone’s list. But there are also victories that some may have while others don’t. So I decided to come up with a few requirements for the list.

  1. The significance of the game (the point of where the Houston Astros were.)
  2. Drama (what’s baseball without a little bit of drama?)
  3. No blowout wins  (As much as we love the offense, blowout wins only shows us another reason why to love them.)

It took me some time, but I have the victories in place. Without further or do, here are the top 10 wins of the first half of the Houston Astros season to date.

So here we go, from 10 to one , enjoy!
