The Houston Astros are one of two teams with 60 wins heading into the second half of the season. But there are ways they can be even better after the break.

When the Houston Astros beat the Toronto Blue Jays 19-1 Sunday, they put themselves in a very good position going into the All Star break. The pitching staff picked each other up in the midst of injuries. The bats stayed hotter than Houston weather in July.

While the Los Angeles Dodgers are running away with the National League, there is no denying what the spacemen are doing on the American League side. Some have even gone so far as to predict that these two teams will meet in the World Series.

But even with all of this hype, could the team stand to change some things? Yes and No.

No, in the sense that they are dominating the competition. So why fix what isn’t broken? Things have worked out for them so far.

However, YES, in the sense that a few tweaks to some odds and ends can make the team nearly untouchable the rest of the way. Even the best find ways to make themselves even better going forward.

Here are some ways the Houston Astros can do just that in the second half of the season.
