Deshaun Watson!

The Houston Texans traded up from the 25th pick with the Cleveland Browns (once again) to get their man.

The team will give up their 2018 first round pick in addition to their 2nd rounder that was included in the Brock Osweiler.

We’ve got a quarterback!

What can I say?

We all as Texans fans have something now to cling to — and it’s more than hope.

We have a franchise quarterback in midst and it’s going to be a pleasure watch this guy do work.

Just think about it — a Deshaun pass to DeAndre Hopkins, a fellow Clemson alumni on the regular!

GO ROUTES ALL DAY!

Now with all this Jay Cutler talk, would it be prudent that they bring him in for a season and let Watson develop behind the scenes?

My answer to that is — HELL NO!

Let him play immediately — he’s ready to start now and he’s received enough seasoning to do so.

The Texans had been high on Watson from the start — from the interviews, to the workouts and finally decided to do what it took to bring him to H-Town.

There will be many that will have their doubts but I think this guy is the real deal.

He’s a GAMER, he’s a BALLER, SHOT-CALLER which he’ll fit in with the Texans just fine.

Watson doesn’t even seem to be a Bill O’Brien QB — he likes to leave the pocket but it goes to show that he’s willing to adjust his schemes to fit Watson’s strengths.

That’s what good coaches do and we’re about see what O’Brien is made of.

I’m positive that he’ll succeed at it though or else it will be his job.

Furthermore, Watson rises up to challenges and doesn’t buckle under the pressure.

I can’t say the same in regard to our past quarterbacks outside of Matt Schaub and a few others in moments.

I’m sure they vetted him plenty as they’ve learned from the past mistakes and they felt he was to guy to get the needle moving in terms of having this team contend for championship soon.

Regardless of what happens from here, our trajectory of not drafting QB’s high has ended and we’ve now settled on ours of the future.

Welcome to Houston, Deshaun Watson.

Watson passed for 4,593 yards (67 percent completion percentage) along with 41 touchdowns and 14 interceptions in 2016, his junior and final season with the Tigers.

His QB Rating was 151.1.

Go Texans.
