We’re less than half an hour before the trade deadline of 2 p.m. CST and the Houston Rockets have made move.
Yes, the move to add Lou Williams to the roster will be signed, sealed and delivered shortly but another one has been made.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of the Vertical, the Houston Rockets have traded Tyler Ennis to the Los Angeles Lakers:

In exchange for Ennis, the Houston Rockets have received Marcelo Huertas in exchange as Woj reports:
Sources: The Lakers will send guard Marcelo Huertas to the Rockets in Ennis deal. The Rockets will waive Huertas.

But ESPN’s Calvin Watkins shot down any notion that the Rockets would keep Huertas in this deal:
Rockets acquired Marcelo Huerta from the Lakers in the Ennis trade, but a source said he'll be released.

This deal succeeds the previous one made to trade K.J. McDaniels to the Brookyln Nets.
McDaniels was a long shot to make the rotation and had fallen out at the present.
This gives him an opportunity to get a fresh start in new surroundings as I imagine they’d want to keep him.
Ennis was too a guy that was the odd man out in the rotation.
The former first-round pick received little playing time and just didn’t seem like the right fit after acquiring him this past off season.
He’s traveled quite a bit in his short tenure in the NBA but at least the man has confirmation that he’s still wanted and needed somewhere in the Association.
Per Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle, the Rockets now have $3.5 million in cap space to acquire a buyout player.
The biggest name out so far is Andrew Bogut, who negotiating his buyout after being traded from the Dallas Mavericks to the Philadelphia 76ers earlier today.
But the Rockets can go after Larry Sanders at a lower cost, being that he’s estimated to be worth $300K when you pro-rate his salary over this season.
We’ll have to see how this shakes out as the Rockets will work to buyout Huertas’ contract.
Ennis, 22, has been averaging 1.9 points, 1.1 assists while shooting .391/.375/.667 in 6.3 minutes per through 31 games this season.
Go Rockets.
