The Houston Rockets have less than two hours to make a move before the NBA’s oft-anticipated trade deadline.

Deals have been flying all over the place with Serge Ibaka being traded in the early goings, DeMarcus Cousins earlier this week and Lou Williams this past Monday to the Houston Rockets.

It’s the home stretch now and it’ll be interesting to see if we make one more move to help with the depth of this team.

We are lacking another rim-protector, shot-blocker and one that enforce harsh values in the paint.

There are a lot of guys out there that can do this but there is ONE that could readily available shortly.

Here’s the wrinkle…

And as of today, the Philadelphia 76ers have traded away Nerlens Noel in exchange for Justin Anderson, Andrew Bogut and a 2017 first-round pick.

It was expected that the Sixers wouldn’t keep Bogut but try to buy him out.

As of right now, the process has begun to do so, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of the Vertical:

This would be typical for any business-saavy player so that they have the pick of where they want to go.

There will be stiff competition for his services as there will be a slew of phone calls coming into his long-time agent Bruce Kaider.

I’m positive that Daryl Morey will be one of those guys that will at least make an inquiry about his services.

Just looking at the surface of his tangible assets — he fits all of what we need in an additional big.

He isn’t expected to log big minutes but he balances the position so that we have all the tools we need for the home stretch.

Now we all know how he plays — sometimes erratic and can easily be caught committing illegal picks but that’s neither here or there.

But he’s the type of guy you love to hate but one you’d love to have on your team.

That’s kind of like how Patrick Beverley is to us.

ESPN’s Calvin Watkins mentioned that he picked Dallas over Houston because of our culture but now he’s on the outside looking in.

Perceptions can certainly change about anything once you see what’s in front you.

And that’s why I feel he should be in a Rockets uniform.

If Morey can pull this off, I’d call the day a success and close the books but we’ll see.

Bogut, 32, is averaging 3.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.0 blocks while shooting 46.9 percent from the field and 27.3 percent from the charity stripe through 26 games this season (21 starts).

Go Rockets.
