Your Houston Rockets have made incredible strides to be one of the best teams in the Association this season.

Your Houston Rockets have made incredible strides to be one of the best teams in the Association this season.

In the off season, big changes were made in regard to how this franchise as a whole would look moving forward.

They expedited the jettisoning of an ailing/disgruntled Dwight Howard, inserted a new coach in Mike D’Antoni along with his powerful offensive mindset.

Many, including I, were skeptical of how this was going to work if this team was going to be serious of contending for something in the future.

And to be honest, I was lukewarm on the whole idea.

But that’s why they play the games and from what we’ve seen so far, they’ve taken to said task quite well.

Did I mention our free agent acquisitions?

We signed sharpshooting forward Ryan Anderson to a four-year, $80 million deal as well as the oft-energetic guard in Eric Gordon.

Gordon inked with the Houston Rockets for four years, $53 million.

These two pickups have been some our biggest assets this season contributing heavily, for the most part, on both ends of the floor.

Not only that but James Harden is having the kind of season that is making us all gush with H-Town pride knowing that he’s on our side.

He is catalyst, the biggest reason for our success and this team goes as he goes.

This team mantra is simple — shoot/make a high-volume of three-pointers and effectively use the pick-and-roll when they’re working in the paint.

Sounds simple doesn’t it?

Not so fast — D’Antoni implements a diverse set of plays involving such and our opponents don’t know what we’ll throw at them next.

You mix in an intense defensive mindset by installing wizards Jeff Bzedilik and Roy Rogers on the coaching staff and you have a world-class team fighting for the right to be the best.

This delicious recipe has caused the Houston Rockets to sail to a 28-9 record and they’ve truly been the surprise darlings of the NBA, even on a global scale.

But there’s a problem — where are the fans at our welcoming abode of Toyota Center?
