Houston Texans’ Tidbits:

Lamar Miller:  Miller injured his ankle late in last week’s contest against the Jags and hasn’t practiced all week. He has indicated that he’ll be ready to play Sunday.  Although that’s what he wants, his ankle may not cooperate, causing him to be grounded for the first time this season. I’d expect Alfred Blue, Jonathan Grimes and Akeem Hunt to be at the ready just in case.  So far, Miller has a whopping 1,073 yards and four touchdowns in 2016.  I personally feel he should sit out as we have enough talent in the running game to beat the Bengals.

Jonathan Joseph:  Joseph is still reeling from cracked ribs and bruised lung that have caused him to miss the past two games.  He has signaled that he’s feeling better but it still remains to be seen if he’ll be available tonight.  A.J. Bouye will continue to start in his stead if he can’t go.  Again, he’s another guy that could miss this game as we’ll need to be full strength for the Tennessee Titans next week.

And here’s the injury report for the Cincinnati Bengals:

LB Vontaze Burfict, Knee/Concussion

G Clint Boling, Shoulder

TE Tyler Eifert, Back

TE Tyler Kroft, Knee/Ankle

DE Wallace Gilberry, Calf

WR A.J. Green, Hamstring

HB Jeremy Hill, Knee

DE Michael Johnson, Shoulder

LB Vincent Rey, Hamstring

DT Pat Sims, Hip

WR James Wright, Knee

Burfict, Boling, Eifert and Kroft have been ruled OUT for Sunday. Gilberry, Green, Hill and Johnson are QUESTIONABLE.  Rey, Sims and Wright are PROBABLE.

Cincinnati Bengals Tidbits:

A.J. Green:  Green has been out since Week 11 against their match against the Buffalo Bills.  He suffered a Level 2 hamstring tear where at least half of the hamstring was torn.  This is an extremely devastating injury for the Bengals’ offense but they’ve pressed sans the extra wins in the column he provides.  For the first time since then, his status has been upgraded to questionable but with the Bengals flailing — and likely out of playoff contention — since his injury, I don’t see any reason for him to get out there.  Expect Brandon LaFell and Tyler Boyd to get most of the touches on the wideout front.

Jeremy Hill:  Hill suffered a knee injury in practice this week that has limited his participation throughout.  He has been ruled as a game-time decision and is one huge chunk of their offense.  He already has nine rushing touchdowns on the season with three of them occurring in the last three weeks.  I’d expect him to play but Rex Burkhead will be at the ready if Hill can’t go.

The Houston Texans are back at home to take on the Bengals at NRG Stadium tonight.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:25 p.m. CST.

The game will be televised on CBS/NFL Network and broadcast on 610 SportsRadio AM/100.3 FM (KILT) & ESPN Deportes 1180 (KGOL) in Spanish.
