Houston Texans’ Tidbits:
Vince Wilfork: Wilfork has not practiced at all this week and has been reeling from a groin injury sustained against the Detroit Lions two weeks ago.
Wilfork has made the trip the Jacksonville and he will be deemed as more of a game-time decision by the coaching staff.
If Wilfork cannot play, sixth-rounder D.J. Reader will be at the ready to fill-in at nose tackle. Reader has nine tackles and one sack through all eight games this season which included one start.
This could mark the first time the burly-defender will have missed a game for the Houston Texans since joining the club last season.
Will Fuller: According to the Chron’s Aaron Wilson, Fuller has practiced all week and will be ready to play Sunday.
He is listed on the report as questionable with a knee injury but that is more of a formality. Fuller has missed only one game so far on the season as a result of injury.
A.J. Bouye: Bouye sprained his ankle in practice this past Friday, limiting his finish. An MRI was done on his ankle and there was no substantial damage found.
It’s quite possible that he’ll be available but I’d imagine that they’d hold him out as a precaution as he’ll be needed down the stretch.
He has played well as of late, deflecting nine passes in eight games and four starts.
Brian Peters: The multi-talented member of the Houston Texans injured his quad muscle against the Vikings more than a month ago.
Although he’s listed as a linebacker, Peters had been handling the kickoffs as of late because of what Bill O’Brien saw in his work ethic at practice.
Our defensive line is already quite deep so Peters was the odd man out. Not to mention that he was a kicker in high school and has bounced around the league quite a bit, finding a home with the Houston Texans for now.
Nick Novak will resume the kickoff duties until Peters is ready to return. That may be this Sunday.
And here’s the injury report for the Jacksonville Jaguars:
LT Kelvin Beachum, Knee
OLB Arthur Brown, Ankle
SS Johnathan Cyprien, Lower Leg
GS Tashaun Gipson, Hamstring
WR Allen Hurns, Concussion
OLB Myles Jack, Hip
C Brandon Linder, Hand
DE Jared Odrick, Not Injury Related
RT Jermey Parnell, Knee
DE Chris Smith, Eye
WR Bryan Walters, Concussion
Walters has already been ruled OUT for Sunday. Brown, Gipson, Hurns and Smith are listed as QUESTIONABLE. Beachum, Cyprien, Jack, Linder, Odrick and Parnell are PROBABLE.

Jacksonville Jaguars Tidbits:
Allen Hurns: Hurns suffered a concussion against the Kansas City Chiefs last week. He did practice starting this past Thursday on a limited basis but he is still going through the NFL’s mandatory concussion protocol.
If he clears, he’ll be ready to go Sunday. If he doesn’t, third-year wide out Marqise Lee will start in his place.
Hurns has caught 31 balls for 443 yards at a team-leading 14.3 yards per catch through all eight games this season.
Tashaun Gipson: The injury-riddled Gipson has been trying to get on the mend from a hamstring malady. The one-time, pro-bowler free safety has appeared in all eight games for the Jags so far but that streak may be in jeopardy if he can’t go.
Expect second-year safety Peyton Thompson to take over the reins if he does miss.
Gipson has 18 tackles, one pass deflection and one interception on the season.
The Houston Texans on the road to take on the Jaguars at EverBank Field.
Kickoff is scheduled for noon CST.
The game will be televised on CBS and broadcast on 610 SportsRadio AM/100.3 FM (KILT) & ESPN Deportes 1180 (KGOL) in Spanish.
