Trade deadline brings out the best in us. Here, it brings out my my wildest trade dreams. While these are probably unrealistic, I tried making these trades as fair and logical as possible. Let me know how I did in the comments below.

I’m going to go out on a few limbs here. Let’s be a monkey.

First limb: Everyone reading this post has played a baseball video game
Second limb: Everyone reading this post has played franchise mode on said video game
Third limb: Everyone has acted as GM and traded all their favorite players to their favorite team

So assuming you stepped out on all three limbs, then you were just like me as a high school and college kid. Playing GM is fun, and there’s no better time to act like a GM of your favorite team than deadline week.

The Astros are within a few games of the Texas Rangers for the AL West division lead. Both the AL West and AL Wild Card are right their for the taking, but I’d guess the division may be easier to win considering the Rangers likelihood of regression.

With all that said, I do believe this team as constructed could make the playoffs. They’ll be adding Yulieski Gurriel in a few weeks, and he along with Alex Bregman should bring enough offense to catapult the team to a division crown.

But playing GM at this time of the year is no fun without trades.

With that said, I’m going to try my best to keep all trades within reason. The players I’ll be acquiring are said to be or at least could reasonably be available. Also, I’m not trading for Mike Trout. So without further ado…
