After the smoke has cleared following the Houston Texans 2016 draft class, it’s clear that they had a focus on speed, speed, speed on the offensive side of the ball.  Taking that into account leads an observer to say that the draft class makes more sense now at the end, than it did at certain moments.

That has often been the Texans calling card in a draft, to focus on fixing a couple aspects of their team and then grab some depth.  Last year there was a focus to get a couple quality players at key positions in the early rounds and then focus on special teams late.

This year the focus was speed on offense, an interior offensive line starter and depth at some of their thinnest spots on defense.
