Houston Rockets: The Path To The Playoffs
By James D'Elia
Portland Trailblazers (40-36)
Schedule: MIA, @GSW, @SAC, OKC, MIN, DEN
With the Grizzlies loss, they are now only one game out of the 5th seed and the Blazers will definitely grab it by season’s end. They have a tough game today against the Miami Heat but they should get the job done as Miami is on the 2nd leg of a back-to-back. Damian Lillard could have a revenge game against the Warriors but they won’t lose now as they dropped one to the Boston Celtics and need to ensure they have games spare for when they face the Spurs if they want their record.
Portland will be facing teams likely looking to chalk up losses and improve their lottery position in games against the Sacramento Kings, Minnesota Timberwolves and the Denver Nuggets and may get lucky if the Oklahoma City Thunder chooses to rest their starters against them. Should have a good run home and enough wins in the bank to rest players ahead of the playoffs.
Projected Home Stretch Record: 4-2
End of Season Record 44-38
