The Bench Mob

Somehow the Clippers bench got a lot better even though they traded away two of their biggest off season acquisitions. Wesley Johnson has been good for them and Crawford still looks like he could explode for 20 points in five minutes. Beasley has really established himself as a scorer since he came to the Rockets and he really has improved the bench.

Brewer and Terry have played well recently and Capela continues to put in consistent performances. Smith has fallen out of the rotation at this point in time and I don’t seem him getting back in it anytime soon unless there is an injury.

Advantage: Michael Beasley

Prediction: Rockets win 4-3

The Clippers have shown that they can’t close out games against the Rockets and they continue to let them back in even after holding 25+ point leads. This will come back to bite them in the end and i can see the Rockets clinching this one in a hectic final match at Staples Center.

So, with a big game coming up today, let’s see if the Rockets can get an extra win on the board and claim that 5th seed outright and a playoff match up against the Clippers!
