What an underwhelming trade deadline that was. For all the talk about Houston organizing deals for every player on the Roster the two that were not mentioned at all ended up moving.

Either Donatas Motiejunas or Terrence Jones was definitely going to move at this deadline and surprisingly it was the former who made way. I have been a huge D-Mo fan and thought he really fitted in well with Howard by spreading the floor and his skip passes across the floor.

I wish him all the best in Detroit and hope he can get over his back issues. Marcus Thornton was also a surprising addition to the trade as I thought he had been our best bench player but we’ll leave that to Daryl Morey to explain.

So with these changes our bench has become considerably weaker for the rest of the season and as D-Mo was our starting power forward before his injuries this will mean there is a shake up of duties. Let’s explore a couple of the changes the Rockets should make ahead of their game against Portland on Friday night.
