The Houston Texans are in there!

Playoffs?  We’re talking about playoffs?

As a matter of fact, we are.

It only took two years for us to get back here and the Texans have a good chance of beating a team that’s quite similar to our characteristics.

The Kansas City Chiefs are one of the hottest teams in the NFL after a 1-5 start, winning the rest of their games to get themselves in the big show.

But the Texans are looking to hand the Chiefs their 8th-straight playoff loss and that would be nice if the team did that!

This will be a gritty, incredible match up that will not disappoint and include lots of fireworks throughout.

Let’s do this — time to go out and get this win today!

Here’s everything you need to know about today’s game:

Bold Predictions:

1.)  J.J. Watt will have 2.5 sacks.

This idea isn’t too far-fetched.  He’s back in full form since having the cast removed from his hand last week and you know he’s going to lay it all on the line.  The Chiefs are quite good and knowing how to cover him but I think Romeo Crennel and the staff have figured out ways that he can still bust through and get to Alex Smith.  I don’t think he’ll disappoint but we’ll see.  Here’s to hoping!

2.)  Nick Novak will score the most points for the Texans.

This will be a tough game for Brian Hoyer to get this team into the red zone and I’d presume that with both defenses being dominant, both team’s placekickers will be quite busy.  Novak has been quite reliable this season and he’s going to be called upon to kick the field goals when the Texans can’t get any closer.  I’d say Novak nails three field goals and an extra point for 10 total points on the day.

3.)  Brian Hoyer will pass for more than 300 yards.

The Chiefs gave Hoyer all kinds of problems in Week 1 and he looked the worst he had all season against this team.  He’ll have the opportunity to redeem himself against a ferocious pass rush of Justin Houston, Tamba Hali, Dee Ford and Husain Abdullah.  Those guys are injured so they’re efforts may be abbreviated but still pronounced.  Hoyer may not get the touchdown passes he wants but he could get the yardage to go over 300.  This is another wait-and-see bold prediction.

Game Score Prediction: 16-10 in a Texans’ win!
