5. James Harden Joins The Kardashian Hoopla
The Houston Rockets fought tough in the Western Conference Finals, but fell short to Stephen Curry and the Warriors. Games 1 and 2 were certainly winnable, but James Harden and the rest of the healthy Rockets couldn’t finish late.
So what do
media voted
player-voted MVPs do in the offseason following a loss in the Western Conference Finals?
Here’s a list of options I put together:
- Take a nice vacation overseas while maintaining daily workouts
- Buy a cabin in the middle of nowhere and workout three times a day
- Date a Kardashian
For some strange reason, Harden chose option three. Option one would have been fine and option two is for players like J.J. Watt. Option three is more for the Kris Humphries of the world.

Well apparently Harden decided he belonged in a group with Humphries rather than Watt. Who told him that was a good idea?!?
And the fact is, the Rockets have suffered due to Harden’s decision.
It’s clear the players in the lockerroom don’t like it and it has showed on the court throughout the season. It may not be the biggest reason for the Rockets’ terrible start to the season, but it’s high up on the list.
Maybe don’t show up overweight to training camp and date normal people, James. You’re just giving people more reasons not to like you. Well, that and you don’t play defense anymore, again.
