Houston Texans At Cincinnati Bengals: Week 10 Injury Report
As both the Houston Texans and the Cincinnati Bengals take the field, here’s a few injuries that you need to know about:
For the Texans, here are the players that are listed on the injury report:
T Duane Brown, Concussion
ILB Max Bullough, Shoulder
ILB Akeem Dent, Hamstring
S Kurtis Drummond, Concussion
CB Charles James II, Foot
C Ben Jones, Thumb
ILB Benardrick McKinney, Concussion
T Derek Newton, Knee
RB Chris Polk, Knee
WR Cecil Shorts III, Hamstring
WR Nate Washington, Hip
OLB Jadeveon Clowney, Back
CB Kareem Jackson, Ankle
Clowney and Jackson have been ruled OUT. Brown, Bullough, Dent, Drummond, James, Jones, McKinney, Newton, Polk, Shorts and Washington are probable and are good to go for Monday night.
Houston Texans’ Tidbits:
Jadeveon Clowney: According to the Houston Chronicle’s Aaron Wilson, Clowney has been dealing with stiffness in his lower back since an injury that he sustained against the Tennessee Titans before the bye week. Although he did return to practice Wednesday, he was held out for the rest of the week because it kept tightening up. Bill O’Brien said that “he’s dealing with a back issue and it’s painful, so we’ve got to give it a little more time.” This is tough news to digest for the 2014 No. 1 pick of the NFL Draft. If it’s not one thing it’s the other and the guy just cannot stay on the field for whatever reason. However, when he is on the field, he does wreck havoc and does disrupt things but we’re all holding on our breath to see if he hurts himself in some way. I’m still holding out on calling him a bust although he’s certainly trending in that direction. As usual, John Simon will be ready to go.

Kareem Jackson: Jackson will miss his third game in a row as he is still dealing with a sprained right ankle against the Jacksonville Jaguars back on Oct. 18. There’s no indication yet of when he’ll be able to return but rookie corner Kevin Johnson will start in his place. This is certainly helpful to Johnson, who will be getting some meaningful game reps at such a young age. He will start opposite Johnathan Joseph.
And here’s the injury report for the Cincinnati Bengals:
OT Andre Smith, Concussion
LB Vontaze Burfict, Knee
LB Rey Maualuga, Calf
C Kevin Zeitler, Ankle
Smith has been ruled OUT. Burfict, Maualuga and Zeitler are probable and are ready to play Monday.

Cincinnati Bengals Tidbits:
Andre Smith: Smith suffered a concussion during Week 8 against the Pittsburgh Steelers and has been going through the NFL’s concussion protocol stages since then. He missed Week 9 and still has yet to return to practice. Veteran tackle and former Texan Eric Winston will be poised to start in his stead and has played pretty good whenever he has had to fill in.
