Houston Texans’ Tidbits:
Arian Foster: Our coveted top running back is getting ever-closer to returning back to the field. He did practice all this week — albeit limited — and Bill O’Brien has mentioned that he looks “good.” Foster said at yesterday’s presser that he feels like he has a chance to play against the Falcons this Sunday. He also mentioned that the doctor who carried out his surgery said that the best rehab is to get out there and play. He has been ruled a game-time decision by the Texans. In my opinion, it’s highly likely we’ll see him out there but it things may be gradual in terms of carries with Alfred Blue taking the lead.
Duane Brown: Our beloved left tackle is ready to return back to the field. Although he was limited in practice Friday, he practiced in full Thursday and he said it felt amazing. He has been the key missing ingredient on the offensive line and all the woes that this group had faced previously should be shored with his presence. Although Brown has too been officially ruled as a game-time decision, he said that “I’ll be out there.” I certainly believe him as well.
Xavier Su’a-Filo: For the first time in nearly an eternity, Su’a-Filo will be probable for a football game. He has been dealing ankle and calf injuries for goodness knows how long but he has practiced in full this week and it seems he’s prime to make his debut to which has marred with all he has been going through. Oday Aboushi may get the start as he is a proven vet that can get the job the done but the consensus is that he is in the running to eventually win the position at first-string. It will be great to see him out there and we’ll have to see how his presence has an overall impact on the offensive line’s prowess.

And here’s the injury report for the Atlanta Falcons:
S Ricardo Allen, Knee
RB Tevin Coleman, Ribs
WR Devin Hester, Toe
TE Jacob Tamme, Concussion
RB Devonta Freeman, Toe
WR Julio Jones, Toe/Hamstring
LB Brooks Reed, Groin
Allen, Coleman, Hester and Tamme have been ruled OUT. Freeman, Jones and Reed are probable.
Ricardo Allen: Allen has been limited in practice all week as he recovers from a sprain of his medial collateral ligament (MCL) in his left knee. He has been ruled out because it normally takes a week or two to get normalcy out of the affected area after healing. Undrafted rookie Robenson Therezie who has 18 defensive snaps in relief on the season. The Texans could use this rookie’s inexperience to their advantage — he gave up a 67-yard touchdown off Odell Beckham Jr. in their Week 2 match up against the New York Giants. The Falcons also have Kemal Ishmael as someone else to fill the void at free safety.

Jacob Tamme: He has taken the lead at tight end but suffered a concussion against the Dallas Cowboys this past Sunday after taking a bone-crunching hit from Sean Lee and Anthony Hitchens. He did not practice all week and the Falcons — as they should be — are being careful about his eventual return until he’s truly fit to play. Levine Toilolo will get the start at tight end in his stead.
The Texans take on the Falcons at the Georgia Dome Sunday.
Kick-off is scheduled for noon CDT.
The game will be televised on CBS and broadcast on 610 SportsRadio AM/ESPN Deportes 1180 AM (Spanish)/100.3 FM (KILT).
