WIDE RECEIVER:  Nate Washington has proven that he can still perform at a high level at age 32.  He racked up a quiet 105 yards off six catches, averaging 17.2 yards per catch.  He had some issues with his abdomen earlier this week but he’s probable for tomorrow’s game.  We’ll need him.

  • Deandre Hopkins (98 yards, nine catches) seemed to have an excellent rapport with Mallett last Sunday and I think it will continue through this week and thereafter.  He caught a touchdown pass from Hoyer and Mallett and shown that he’s the go-to guy when it comes to targets.

Cecil Shorts III (57 yards, four catches) will be around to fill the gaps with his talents as well.

It will be intriguing to see how they respond against a Carolina defense that may be vulnerable to the pass.

I really don’t see Ted Ginn, Jr. and Jerricho Cotchery being much of threat in the air as our defense has the ability to easily lock these guys up.
