Issue: Can the Astros Win the AL West

Reasoning: As of last week, here’s the Astros odds for winning the AL West:

• Preseason: +1600
• June 5th: +140
• July 11th: +110
• August 31st: -200

As of today, there’s no way I’m giving money to bet on them. I mean, what happened? We looked great against the Angels last week and we then get swept by the Rangers this week. Personally, I blame Cole Hamels. I realize he didn’t pitch this week. I’ve just started blaming everything on Cole Hamels since he veto’d the trade to Houston.

Astros lose the AL West to the Angels? Cole Hamels’ fault. Late to work and stuck in traffic? Cole Hamels is probably in the car in front of you. Your newly-injured RB does a national interview with an ESPN reporter and claims to not believe in God? Yup, you guessed it… He’s attending the Church of Cole Hamels.
