Drop: Kostas Papanikolaou

Morey seemed to be determined to get Kostas Papanikolaou last offseason. The 24 year-old had a few moments where he looked like a complementary addition until he mysteriously became injured for the rest of the season.

Papanikolaou was known to be a good shooter but ended the season shooting only 29% from behind the arc and 72% from the free throw line.

Between he and KJ McDaniels at the SF position, it’s a no-brainer for Morey that McDaniels is the better player. Besides, Papanikolaou is taking up roughly 4.7 million of Houston’s money and has already proved to be injury prone.

There’s a good chance the Rockets will ship Papanikolaou in a trade this offseason.
