Drop: Pablo Prigioni

Although the 38-year old veteran proved to be a solid backup, Houston will no longer need him. In hopes of either bringing Beverley back or trading for Ty Lawson, Houston will have backups in Terry, Nick Johnson, and possibly this year’s 1st round draft pick.

The Rockets scheduled a workout for Tyus Jones on Wednesday as the Duke point guard is predicted to go to Houston in a bevy of mock drafts. There will be a new point guard in Houston, one way or another.

Mid-season rumors stated Prigioni would retire after this season. If that holds true, it will be one less player Morey would have to worry about releasing.
