Drop: Patrick Beverley

Words can’t describe how horrible I feel for typing this, but Patrick Beverley’s departure with the Rockets this offseason may be inevitable if Morey gets James Harden a second playmaker. For every second of every game he’s played in, Beverley has done all that he could for this team.

Rockets fans would’ve loved to see him play in the Western Conference Finals against the MVP because he’s given Stephen Curry trouble in the past. Again, it’s not that I don’t want Beverley back it’s that I think we can’t have him back.

Houston’s point guard will probably in eight figures next season and I’m not sure Morey can match if he wants to bring Brewer and Smith back as well as add another playmaker for Harden.
