Jamon Brown – Offensive tackle/guard
6’4”, 323 – Louisville (6th – 7th round)
Jamon Brown is a big thick man but also has the quickness to get out away from the line of scrimmage and make a block. He moves well for a big man and has spent time at both tackle and guard and that flexibility adds value to his draft stock. Here is Brown against Virginia.
Most evaluators have Brown in the 6th or 7th round but I see a player that has more ability than that and should be a better player than many offensive linemen that will go ahead of him.

The Texans have many more pressing needs that offensive tackle after resigning right tackle Derek Newton but they do not have much offensive line depth in general. Positional flexibility is key when you are looking for depth on the offensive line as generally only 7 are active on Sundays.
Brown may end up being a better guard than tackle but he does have tackle size and tackle arm length with 34 3/8” arms and heavy base. Brown has the raw talent that you are looking for and can be coached up and the Texans have had some success with late round tackles developing.
