Defensive standout Randy Gregory possesses all the physical tools to be a dominant force in the NFL. He led Nebraska with 10.5 sacks as a sophomore and is ninth on the school’s all-time sacks list after just two seasons with the Huskers. Lance Zierlein quoted one NFC scouting director as saying, “He’s super raw, but those physical tools are through the roof.”

Unfortunately for Gregory, his history of marijuana use will undoubtedly prevent him from being drafted as highly as his talent warrants. He failed a drug test at the NFL Combine in February, and had two other failed tests at Nebraska in January and April of 2014.
The Texans have visited or will visit with Gregory before the draft. While Gregory claims that his struggles with marijuana are a thing of the past, his pattern of failed drug tests will be difficult for the Texans ignore. He’ll have to impress them at his visit and convince the Texans front office that his troubles are all in the past.
