Another potential answer to the Texans’ lack of secondary depth, P.J. Williams was a stud for a Seminoles team that went 27-1 over the last two seasons. The Defensive MVP of the 2014 BCS Championship Game, Williams is an aggressive cover corner with the swagger to match his solid instincts and ball skills.
Williams’ off-the-field troubles began with a pair of traffic tickets he was issued following a car accident in October of last year. The New York Times later reported that Williams was given a pass by the Tallahassee Police Department after initially fleeing the scene, which could have – and according to the Times, should have – resulted in a hit-and-run charge. Williams continued his vehicular shenanigans earlier this month when he was arrested and charged with DUI.
Houston may have been willing to overlook the first incident, but the recent arrest makes a potential future with the Texans seem highly unlikely.
