Cornerback could have been a big problem for the Texans heading into the 2015 season had they not re-signed Kareem Jackson to a new 4-year contract. Even with Jackson in the mix, Houston will almost certainly look to add depth to their secondary, and might do so as early as the first round.

Just don’t bank on Washington cornerback Marcus Peters being the answer for Rick Smith and the gang. Despite possessing prototypical size and ball skills, Peters was a nightmare for the Huskies coaching staff in 2014. First came a one-game suspension for a sideline tantrum after a personal foul penalty, followed by his dismissal from the team after numerous run-ins with his coaches. He also failed a drug test for marijuana as a redshirt freshman in 2011.

While Peters has since acknowledged his immaturity, it’s likely too little too late for the Texans to consider taking on his baggage.
