Salman (@rednation_hoops):

The Rockets are middle of the pack in terms of actual three-point Percentage but the sheer volume they shoot it in makes up for the deficiencies at times. I do think the Rockets would love another “slasher” (as McHale calls it) but at the same time I believe the roster is as good as it’s going to get for the time being.

Alykhan (@Rockets_Insider):

The Rockets don’t have strong three-point shooters. No one on the roster has the same shooting ability as Kyle Korver, Danny Green, or other three-point threats. However, the Rockets make up for it in the volume and selection of three-point attempts. The more you attempt with ~30-35% three-point shooters, the more points and baskets you’ll make. Trevor Ariza is coming along and starting to come back to early-season form. He’s improved on the lateral dribble three (when defender closes out, shooter takes one dribble and steps left or right) and three off dribble-handoff from bigs. Patrick Beverley has struggled, but hopefully he can regain his shooting stroke and hit the timely three come playoff time.
