Week 16 Injury Report: Baltimore Ravens Vs. Houston Texans

facebooktwitterreddit

Wow — Week 15 is in the books and I watched perhaps one of the most bizarre games I’ve ever seen in terms of quarterback injuries.

Things were off to great start — the offense was somewhat starting to heat up until Ryan Fitzpatrick got knocked out of the game after he was attempting to get some yards with his legs.

He should have decided to slide!

Then in comes Tom Savage.

He gets banged up by hyper-extending his knee late in the game but stays in.

Shane Lechler, our punter and emergency QB was actually warming up.

Not his kicking leg but his arm!

You know things have gotten bad when it’s to that point.

Amazingly enough, the Texans were still in that game but their offense faltered down the stretch.

So that’s all she wrote for that one.

The Texans are extremely banged up this week so pay close attention to these players maladies ahead of Sunday’s upcoming contest against the Baltimore Ravens.

Take a look:

For the Houston Texans, here are the players that are listed on the injury report:

Graham, Mohamed, Savage and Su’a-Filo have been ruled out for Sunday’s game.  Hopkins is listed as questionable.  Clabo, Cushing, Dent, Foster, Jackson, Johnson, Joseph, Mercilus, Posey and Tarpinian are probable and are good to go.

Hopkins still is reeling from an ankle injury that he sustained last week — he hasn’t practiced all week, his ankle is still sore and is listed as day-to-day. According to Bill O’Brien, he will be a game-time decision this Sunday.

The Houston Chronicle’s Dale Robertson reports:

Johnson was cleared to play last week but decided to opt for rest so that he’d be 100 percent for this Sunday’s contest.

ESPN’s Tania Ganguli reports:

Mercilus has practiced all week, has looked good and has been cleared to play Sunday. He has finally been a nice complement to the Texans’ defensive line this season being the second-best pass rusher behind Watt.

More from Houston Texans

And here’s the injury report for the Baltimore Ravens:

No Ravens player has been ruled out.  Canty is listed as questionable.  Daniels, Hill, Jones, Levine, Osemele, Pierce, Smith and Suggs are probable and will be ready for Sunday.

Canty hasn’t practiced all week but has made indication that he’ll be active for Sunday but we all know the coaching/medical staff has the final say.  He’s definitely a big piece to the Ravens’ front seven on defense.

The Baltimore Sun’s Jeff Zriebec reports:

And there you have it — there are injuries galore for the Texans but just a slight few for the Ravens.

The Texans are back at home to face to the Ravens at NRG Stadium.

Kickoff is scheduled for noon CST.

The game will be televised on CBS and broadcast on 610 SportsRadio AM/100.3 FM (KILT).

Go Texans!
