Week 12 Injury Report: Cincinnati Bengals Vs. Houston Texans

facebooktwitterreddit

The Houston Texans were able to get a huge win over a solid football team in the Cleveland Browns.

It seemed that all important aspects of the offense and defense were clicking but definitely short of perfect.

It’s the best four quarters of football against a formidable opponent that I’ve seen in quite some time — let’s say, one season?

This week comes as no surprise as far as those listed on the injury report and most of the key guys that we need to have out there against the Cincinnati Bengals, also a quality football team, will be available.

Take a look:

For the Houston Texans, here are the players that are listed on the injury report:

Jackson has been ruled out for Sunday’s contest.  Foster and Bullough are listed as questionable.  Clabo, Clowney, Cushing, Dent, Grimes, Andre Johnson, Joseph, Mallett, Mercilus, Mohamed, Morris, Tarpinian and Tuggle are all probable and good to go.

Jackson is still on the mend from a sprained MCL that he sustained during Week 11’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.  It’s expected that he could miss up to a month as a result, originally he was estimated as early as two weeks to be back but that time frame has passed.  He did not practice at all this week so if he stays out the full estimated time — he could be out as late as Week 14 against the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road.

It may take a little longer than originally projected for Foster’s return from his hamstring injury.  With Alfred Blue carrying the rushing duties confidently and efficiently this past Sunday, it seems the Texans are being cautious of bringing him back too quickly.  My projection is that he will sit out — he hasn’t practiced since Wednesday.

ESPN’s Tania Ganguli reports:

Bullough was a late add to the injury report — he was just called up from the practice squad last week but was not active Sunday against the Browns. He has practiced all week but was limited yesterday as he deals with a hamstring injury. My best guess is that he will not be activated this week.

And here’s the injury report for the Cincinnati Bengals:

Burfict and Hunt have been ruled out for Sunday.  Bernard, Gilberry, Newman, Peerman, Pollak, Smith and Zeitler are probable.

More from Houston Texans

And there you have it — a lighter list of injuries this week and the only question mark is Foster.

The Texans take on the Bengals this Sunday at NRG Stadium.  Kickoff is scheduled for noon CST.

The game will be televised on CBS and will be broadcast on 610 SportsRadio AM/100.3 (KILT).

This is an extremely important match up for the team — go Texans!
