4 – Terrence Jones is developing nicely
Year after year, we see an improvement from starting power forward Terrence Jones and this year is no different. His lost-post game has, much like Dwight Howard, revolved around the basics – jump hooks and very simple fakes – but it has been very effective. His finishing ability is second to none and he takes a huge rebounding burden off of Dwight Howard.
You could argue if it wasn’t for Terrence Jones, Howard would be averaging somewhere in the neighborhood of 13-15 rebounds per game, but he doesn’t have to and for that, the team is very grateful of Jones. His finishing ability touch around the basket has always been good.
Although Jones hasn’t played any elite competition, it’s still nice to see that he’s continuing to grow as a player. However, we’d like to see more consistency each game than good game/bad game, alternation.
