Once again, if the Houston Astros want to spend money Cabrera is an option. Left field was a revolving door last season with many players getting a chance but none really grasping it. Cabrera will most likely be looking at a pretty hefty deal however. At the age of 29, Cabrera put together a really nice season with a .301 BA, 35 2B, 16 HR, 73 RBI and only 67 SO in 139 games. He also had the second highest OPS+ of his career (126).

Cabrera is not a great defender in left field but playing his home games in Minute Maid Park could cover some of that up. The Astros have some in house options for left field such as Robbie Grossman, Jake Marisnick and others, but if they want to make a splash and an immediate impact Cabrera could be it. Imagine Altuve and Cabrera setting the table for George Springer!
