Houston Texans Fantasy Preview: Week 3
Another week, another win for the Texans. The run game was on fire rushing 46 times for 188 yards. The defense played great too forcing timely turnovers.
This week, there is a chance for more big numbers from the Texans stars. Here is your Week 3 Fantasy Preview:
Quarterback
Ryan Fitzpatrick – Fitzpatrick had another quality game. He didn’t have to throw much going 14-for-19 for 139 yards but it did include two TDs. New York has been susceptible through the air ranking 21st in opponent passing yards. I think Fitzpatrick could have a decent game but unless you need a spot start I wouldn’t have him in the lineup.
Prediction: 200 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
Running Backs
Arian Foster – Foster put up a great game in week 2 totaling 138 yards on the ground and a score. So far he is shown he is back to his old self. The Giants have been pretty good against the run so far so things might be a little tougher for Foster. I still expect him to have a good game and should be a must start in all formats.
Prediction: 24 car, 95 yards, 1 TD; 2 rec, 15 yards
Alfred Blue & Jonathan Grimes – Blue put up 11 carries for 39 yards behind Foster though most was done after the game got out of hand. If the game is close, he probably doesn’t see the field much. Keeps these guys on the bench for now.
Wide Receivers
Andre Johnson – Number #1 WRs have fared pretty well so far against the Giants this season. Andre looks like he is in mid season form already with two solid games. As always, Andre is a must start!
Prediction: 7 catches, 75 yards, 1 TD
DeAndre Hopkins – Hopkins didn’t total many yards in week 2 but he did find the end zone for the second time this season. If you are low on WRs Hopkins could be a good play again this week.
Prediction: 5 catches, 60 yards
Damaris Johnson – Once again Johnson saw a few targets but didn’t do much. Keep him on the bench.
Tight End
Garrett Graham – Graham was back in week 2 and had a 26 yard catch but that was it. He was only targeted once but Houston 46 rushing plays compared to only 19 passing plays. If you need help at TE he could be a sneaky play but I think we need to see more from him before putting him in a lineup.
Prediction: 3 catches, 35 yards
C.J. Fiedorowicz – Played sparingly in week 2 and didn’t receive a target. Keep him out of the lineup until we can see some more of him in the offensive game plan.

Kicker
Randy Bullock – Bullock was 3/4 on FG and 3/3 on PAT in week 2. His one miss was a blocked FG which really wasn’t his fault. NYG has already allowed 6 FGs on the season. Good play this week.
Defense/Special Teams
The defense has been great in forcing turnovers this season and I see no reason why it can’t continue. New York has turned the ball over six times in two games including four INTs. They have also allowed four sacks this season. I think it is safe to assume Houston will have a turnover or two while getting a few sacks.
Hope this helps and go Texans!
