DeMarcus Cousins is an elite big man. After one season at the University of Kentucky, Cousins opted for the draft and was selected with the fifth pick, of the 2010 NBA Draft. He is a physical mismatch for most opponents; his size, power and length allow him to do things that other players just can’t do. He has an extreme confidence and believes he can score in the post, at any time. Cousins also has great footwork as well as the strength to finish through contact and score.

The former Kentucky Wildcat is one of the best offensive big men in the NBA today. His numbers speak for themselves. He is a double double machine, averaging almost 23 points, 12 rebounds a game. He is a dominant force in the paint. At 6’11, 270 pounds he is able to use his size and physical toughness to bully defenders. He has excellent touch around the basket and he is the ability to not only create his own shot, but is also outstanding in the pick and roll game.

Cousins has some attitude problems, yes, but he is the leader of the Sacramento Kings. The Sacramento Kings may be turning the corner as they continue to stockpile talent. When the Kings do make the playoffs again they will be led by DeMarcus Cousins.
