The Houston Rockets decided not to match the offer sheet for Chandler Parsons. The Dallas Mavericks offered Parsons a 3-year, $46 million deal, and the Rockets felt the price was too high, ultimately making him a member of the Mavericks.
The Rockets felt that the contract was too constraining to future roster building to keep Chandler Parsons. The former second round pick made less than a million dollars last year; talk about “Started from the bottom, now we’re here.”
With Parsons making around $15 million per season, he has suddenly become the highest paid player on the Mavericks and one of the higher paid players in the NBA.
