Houston Astros #1 prospect, Carlos Correa, had to be carted off the field Saturday night. Jason Schwartz is a JetHawks broadcaster and has some information, though we probably won’t hear much until Sunday morning at the earliest.

Correa was just carted from dugout to back of LF fence. Had towel draped over head with head in hands. Very upset. #JetHawks #Astros

Correa was being aggressive on hit to LF corner. Made it to 3rd safely but appeared to over slide over the bag. Was in immediate pain.

There could not be worse news right now than a major injury to Correa. Astros fans have seen how great young players can infuse a much needed boost to the Astros, and Correa was close to a year away from joining the team. Missing an extended period of time will certainly push his timetable back. This injury doesn’t look good and it could be a while before we see Correa back in action.
Let’s just hope Correa is okay and can come back in a few weeks.
