Player Ratings

Tally Hall (6.0) – Generally had little to do and conceded on nearly every shot that he faced. However, he did have a save of the week candidate when he stopped Texeira off of a 53rd minute corner kick to keep the Dynamo in a 1-1 draw until the wheels came off beginning in the 60th minute.

Corey Ashe (5.5) – As with many of the Dynamo players, Ashe had a decent game prior to the red card and collapsed after that. His 18th minute pass to Giles Barnes should have resulted in a goal. Was solid going forward. He was generally abused by Watson in the 2nd half, however. Was beaten for the 4th Dallas goal, although Dallas had numbers in the center and Ashe has no defensive support on the wing in that sequence.

Jermaine Taylor (4.5) – Another poor outing. Bad giveaways in dangerous places, not many positives.

David Horst (6.5) – Prior to the red card, was having another strong outing. Dangerous on offensive set pieces, bossing the back line. The red card was a professional foul which should have drawn yellow. Horst was beaten, but largely thanks to Sarkodie.

Kofi Sarkodie (5.5) – Sarkodie’s worst outing of the season. Bears the blame for the first half FC Dallas penalty, first falling down on a Castillo run then giving Castillo room to cut back inside rather than forcing him away from goal. Terrible pass straight at Dallas that led to the Horst red card. Did have some good service in the box and drew a penalty in the 80th minute with a good run.

Brad Davis (6.5) – Another solid outing from Davis prior to his injury. Had a lovely back heel in the 20th minute to set up a near goal for Ricardo Clark.

Boniek Garcia (6.5) – Improvement over the Vancouver match. Many of the attacking moves flowed through Garcia. Ran rings around the FC Dallas midfield. Missed a late penalty.

Ricardo Clark (8.0) – Man of the match for the Dynamo. Scored again off a set piece, broke up FC Dallas attacks, pushed the ball forward and got into the attacks. Nearly had 2-3 goals from the normal run of play.

Andrew Driver (5.5) – Better than the Vancouver match. Generally defended better, got involved in attacks a bit better. Still not fantastic when on the right, looked more comfortable once he moved the left following the injury to Davis.

Giles Barnes (6.0) – Not his best match. Should have had at least one goal. Had chances, took most of them as well as he could in the circumstances, however Ashe set him up perfectly in the 14th minute and he was far too tentative with his shot. Passing was good, movement was good. Needs to open up his goal account for the season so he can relax and just play. Knew little about his own goal thanks to Bruin.

Will Bruin (4.0) – The best thing you could say about Bruin in this match was he ran hard. Probably best to leave it at that.

Tony Cascio (6.0) – Came on as a substitute for Davis. Reminded us all why we were impressed with him in the preseason and the opener. Hopefully works back into the rotation from here.

A.J. Cochran (6.0) – Came on following the Horst red card. Did well for a debut in difficult circumstances – looked better than Taylor.

Warren Creavalle (NR) – Did not play long enough to earn a rating. Was good to see him back out on the pitch, however.
