The Astros acquired one of the least dirtbaggiest players in the league from the Colorado Rockies this offseason.  The trade sent Fowler and a PTBNL for $50 and a case of Heineken Brandon Barnes and Jordan Lyles. Fowler, who will be batting leadoff for the Astros in 2014, has a career slash line of .270/.365/.423. You may recognize his OBP from such work as “Above League Average” or “Higher Than Every Astro with More Than 8 PAs Last Season.”

Having a guy with on-base skills at the top of the order will do a lot for the Astros offense, but will also increase the value of the people batting behind him. No word yet on the type of Edible Arrangement Fowler will be receiving from Jason Castro.
