Blake Bortles – University of Central Florida
If the Texans take a quarterback at the number one pick, Bortles is no doubt the most likely selection. Choosing him makes fans understandably cringe since he is the predictable, unexciting pick.
I like his size, athletic ability, and his ceiling, but taking him at number one is a reach.
We will find out if GM Rick Smith still has any say-so. He has always been adamant that they will take the best player available. Bortles certainly does not fit that description. At least not yet.
