Best of the rest (in no particular order)

Just like at the shortstop position, the Astros lack major depth at third base. I expect them to look to shore up that position in this coming June Draft.

Tyler White – Drafted in the 33rd round out of Western Carolina University, White played at three different levels during his rookie seasons, and hit well at all three levels. After 18 games with the GCL Astros, 18 games with the Greeneville Astros, and 28 games with the Tri-City ValleyCats, White finished with a .322 batting average along with 6 home runs, 52 RBI, and a .863 OPS.

White has a knack for getting runners to home plate as evidenced by his .400 batting average with RISP. White (bats righty) hit .324 against RHP and .314 against LHP, and also had a 24/27 – K/BB ratio. (Jeff Luhnow loves it). In the field, White had 10 errors at third base (53 games) while playing a perfect first base (10 games).

As a 23-year old heading into this season, I expect to see White start at either Tri-City or Quad Cities, as he looks to continue the hot start to his career.
