Defensive Line
J.J. Watt has looked good this season despite a lack of inflated numbers. Watt’s 4.5 sacks are tied for the team lead and his 34 tackles are good for second. He continues to make stops in the backfield but hasn’t been getting much help from his fellow lineman. Earl Mitchell has been pretty solid as well with one sack from the nose tackle position, but Antonio Smith has been non-existent and is a big reason for the lack of a Texans pass rush on a consistent basis.
