Running Back

It took Arian Foster a few games to knock off the offseason rust but Foster has now put together a nice season for the Texans. Foster’s 542 rushing yards on 121 attempts and 1 TD are through around just six games due to an injury against the Chiefs that knocked him out for the whole game. Foster is also a threat out of the backfield with 22 receptions, 183 yards, and 1 TD. Ben Tate started the season well but has slowed down a bit. Tate’s 4.8 yards per carry leads the team (except for an 8-yard run by Shiloh Keo on a fake punt) and he’s been a nice compliment to Foster. Tate’s two fumbles hurt the Texans early in the season but the Texans continue to work on a 2-1 (Foster 121, Tate 66) split in carries between the two RB’s. The Texans have brought in Deji Karim, Ray Graham, and Dennis Johnson to give the Texans depth at RB after Cierre Wood was cut and with Foster and Tate battling injuries.
